As a Field Service Technician, you would travel to client location (within the State of Hawaiʻi) to deliver, install, and demonstrate, or troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair Miele appliances. Our ideal candidate would be a courteous individual who enjoys tinkering and figuring out how things work. Factory training, installation and service manuals, and company tools and vehicle will be provided.
 
RESPONSIBILITIES
 
Customer Service

• Respond to service requests, field questions, and schedule on site appointments.
• Discuss with clients in order to establish the nature of the problem.
• Estimate repair costs and recommend whether repair or replacement would be in the client’s best interest.
• Invoice clients and collect payment.
• Show clients how to properly use and care for their products.
• Share product knowledge of special features, etc.

 
Technical Service

• Install and service kitchen and laundry appliances such as refrigerators, wine units, ovens, cooktops, hoods, coffee machines, dishwashers, washers, and dryers.
• Level and adjust equipment to include plumbing and electrical connections.
• Test operate, observe, and examine appliances in order to detect specific malfunctions.
• Refer to schematic drawings, product manuals, and troubleshooting guides.
• Trace electrical circuits, follow diagrams, and conduct circuit tests.
• Disassemble and reassemble appliances in order to diagnose issues, make adjustments, and clean parts as needed.
• Replace worn and defective parts such as switches, bearings, transmissions, belts, gears, circuit boards, and wiring.
• Clean, lubricate, touch up minor defects, and perform preventative maintenance on appliances.
• Assemble new or reconditioned appliances.
• Record any work performed and complete any warranty documentation accurately and on time.
• Order replacement parts and maintain stock inventory.
• Organize, maintain, and upkeep company vehicle, tools, and equipment.

  
QUALIFICATIONS
 
Education: related Associate’s degree or vocational training preferred
Experience: not necessary

Valid driver’s license required.
Continued employment contingent upon obtaining Miele certification.
